A Simple 4 Step Hair Care Guide
Hair care is all about testing, learning and finding what works for you. That’s why we created a simple 4 step hair care guide to help make detangling, washing, moisturizing and styling easier for all hair types and textures.
Tip! All hair strands are more prone to breakage when wet. For wavy to curly hair, we recommend detangling while damp as it is gentler on the hair. For straight hair, it is often best to brush when dry.
1. Detangle
The Moisturizing Detangling Spray gently loosen knots and tangles while leaving the hair soft, shiny and easy to comb. Fragrance free and dermatologically tested.
-
Preparation: It’s often easier to detangle the hair before washing. Sectioning the hair can make the detangling process easier and more gentle. Use hair ties, braids or clips to keep sections separated.
-
Detangle: Shake the Detangling Spray well before use. Spray evenly through the hair and use your fingers, a wide tooth comb or a detangling brush to gently loosen knots and tangles. Start at the ends and work your way up toward the roots to help reduce breakage.
-
Stubborn knots: Combine the Detangling Spray with the Leave In Conditioner to add extra moisture and slip. Gently work through the hair and focus on one section at a time. Start at the ends and slowly work your way up toward the roots.
2. Wash
The Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner gently cleanse and hydrate the hair. The sulfate free formulas help moisturize and protect the hair without stripping the scalp’s natural oils. Enriched with shea butter, olive oil and omega 6 fatty acids for deep moisture and care.
-
Shampoo: Start by washing the hair to remove dirt and product buildup. Apply shampoo to your palms and massage it into both the hair and scalp.
-
Condition: Massage a generous amount of conditioner (depending on hair volume) into the hair. Let it sit for 2 minutes for the best effect. Detangle the hair using your fingers, a brush, or a comb, then rinse thoroughly. Gently towel-dry the hair.
-
Detangle: If tangles remain, use the Detangler spray and gently brush through the hair. For straight hair, it’s often better to detangle brush when the hair is dry.
3. Hydrate
The Moisturizing Leave-In Conditioner is perfect for daily use and provides deep hydration without weighing the hair down, while leaving the hair soft, shiny and hydrated.
-
Hydrate: Apply to damp hair lengths. Use a brush or a wide tooth comb to brush through and gently remove tangles.
-
Light definition: Apply to damp or dry hair and scrunch to enhance your natural curls or waves.
4. Define and style
The Curl Defining Cream helps define curls and waves while adding long lasting softness, shine and soft to medium hold.
-
Define: Apply to damp hair and scrunch the product into the hair to shape and define curls or waves while reducing frizz and adding long lasting softness and shine.
-
Heat protection: Apply evenly to damp hair before blow drying diffusing or heat styling to help protect the hair from heat damage up to 230°C / 446°F.
-
Sleek look: Apply to damp or dry hair and smooth the hair back for a sleek polished finish with flexible hold and moisture.
-
Shape and texture: Apply a small amount through the lengths to add shape, separation and a soft flexible feel without making the hair stiff or crunchy.
