Lina Andersson on curls, life and staying curious
by Maja Reinholdsson on May 30, 2026
Meet Lina Andersson, a freelance Art Director, influencer and founder of the accessories brand Lite Kalabalik. She lives with her daughter and partner in Malmö and believes life should give positive energy. Lina is one of those people who discovered late in life that her Scandinavian hair actually had natural waves all along. It just needed the right cut and the right products. Today her hair is living its best life.
Tell us about you and your family
Hi, my name is Lina, I am 47 years old and I live with my 10-year-old daughter and partner in St Knut, Malmö.
What do you appreciate most in life?
Everything that gives positive energy! A fun job, an evening with friends, snacks, playing cards with the family, an unexpected encounter, a walk with my daughter, a great outfit and good food!
What do you do for work?
I work as a freelance Art Director and influencer. I also run the accessories brand Lite Kalabalik.

What does your hair mean to you? Tell us your hair story!
When I was young, I had flat, typical Scandinavian hair that did its own thing. Somewhere just before turning 30 I changed hairdresser and discovered that my hair had natural waves or even curls, if you just cut into it, thinned out the lengths and used the right products. I also got a fringe cut and it was life changing. Today my hair is living its best life!
When does your hair feel its best?
When it has just been washed. Or after a full day at the beach.
Two final questions!
1. What makes you angry and what do you want to change?
Men often make me angry. But also, that we live in a time where people are drifting further apart from each other. I wish more people would give each other the benefit of the doubt and be curious about each other's differences instead. That would bring us closer together.
2. What are you curious about?
Most things! Everything I know nothing about. That life keeps surprising and delivering. I am also enormously curious about how AI will affect my industry in the long run.

Linas Malmö favourites — restaurants, cafés and shops in S:t Knut
S:t Knut is my neighbourhood and a lovely part of Malmö. Start the day with breakfast at Söderberg & Sara on Mäster Danielsgatan, a stone oven bakery with organic bread and their own roasted coffee. Right next door is Veya Studio, a wonderful interior design shop, and on Saturdays Magda Saturday Market opens just across the street.
In the evening I love a glass of wine and some pasta at Ava Vinbar on Karlskronaplan and then a walk around the neighbourhood to discover all the newly opended places like; Freden, Ekke, Tacopalatset and Bar Bobo.
In the city centre, Butik Miloii on Engelbrektsgatan is a must. Coffee afterwards at Noir behind Lilla Torg. And for breakfast? Ruths on Mäster Johansgatan.
Lunch I have right next to my office at Kazoku, a noodle salad with prawns, please.
